slam dunk


Hello and welcome to my latest blog post, I hope you enjoy what I write.

I am a little excited to be welcomed on to the design team for Through The Craft Room Door blog. For my first project I was invited to use the Slam Dunk Duncan digital stamp by Dr.Digis Slam Dunk Duncan a fun sporty stamp. I was on the lookout for a fun project ideal for a teenager so I was delighted with this stamp.



I have never used a digital stamp before and was really nervous about how my project would go, but to be honest I had no reason to be nervous, all went well and I am excited to use my next digital stamp. For this design I decided to keep my card simple but I plan on using different techniques in the future and learning about all the buttons that are available on the design platform. I enjoyed playing with the colours and resizing the image.

If you are like me and have never used a digital stamp before, I urge you to have a go. I only used a everyday printer, printer paper, some nice quality crafting card and I added a few blings and the results were fabulous.

Cowboy Shirt

I have seen this card created lots of times by various designers. It is a card that I wanted to make my own version of but never got round to it. Well today I dug out my checked card and had a play. I was inspired to do so by this photo. This photo can be found here on the  Inspiration Station Challenge blog The deign team offered cards that feature different horses in action, there was one card that had a number of cactus's. Inspiration Station Challenge Blog 03/10/22

The new challenge was approaching for the  The Inspiration Station Challenge Blog  and to be honest I had no idea what to create  had looked at my dies and searched my mind for an idea on how to use my dies. No ideas were being found so I decided to leave this card for now. It was some weeks later when I was looking in my scrap box when I came across a bag of beads. The bag was actually an Halloween loot bag. As soon as I saw the bag I had an idea to add it to to a black 6in by 6in piece of card.  I set to work cutting up the plastic Halloween bag and I clued it to my black card. I have never used a plastic bag to make a card but some of you may know that I love to recycle where I can. I must admit I did use far to much clue but that didn't matter it added more of an Halloween feel to the card and the texture of the crumpled bag feels great for a card for the Halloween season.  The picture below is the image we were given to be inspired by.  Please stop by at the blog a
